Susan Annette DeJesus, passed away peacefully at the age of 76 surrounded by her loving family at Alexian Brothers Hospital, Elk Grove, IL. She was born the daughter of the late Howard and Dorothy (Robinette) Winnan on December 18, 1943.
Susan was known as a “Craft Queen”, she loved sharing her love of crafts with others and giving away crafts she made.
Her favorite time of the year was Christmas. She loved it so much she would start preparing for the holidays in July! She enjoyed it most knowing she would see friends at her annual Christmas craft party that she would throw and loved celebrating with her family.
She was a collector of lighthouses and tried to visit as many as she could over the years on road trips with Bob. She loved a tall cold glass of Diet Coke, full to the rim with ice.
She lived by the sayings “One day at a time” and “This too shall pass”. She will be most remembered for her sparkling blue eyes, kind and giving heart, and the ability to love without judgement. A friend to all.
She is survived by her loving spouse, Robert Warren; three children, Michelle (Ricky Swanek) DeJesus, Mike (Victoria) DeJesus, Mark (Laura) DeJesus; eight grandchildren, Jacob, Cody, Tiffany, Madison, Mabel, Tucker, Richie, and David; one great granddaughter, Arianna; two brothers, Rick Winnan and Robin Winnan; and three sisters, Debbie Dotter, Jodie Winnan-Danielson, and Shari Winnan-Phillips.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
