Steven Paul Barron, 67, passed away at home in Itasca, Illinois the third weekend of September, 2020. He was born on December 17, 1952 in Oak Park, Illinois to the late Bernice and Frank Barron.
He was a graduate of Lake Park High School and attended Drake University, but found his career as a heating and cooling technician after attending the College of DuPage. He was a hard worker who enjoyed the out-of-state travel afforded by his employers’ contracts with McDonald’s. He specialized in start-ups at new locations. Steven was an avid fisherman who was proud of two trophy muskies hanging on his wall, one being the largest caught in Wisconsin in that year. He particularly enjoyed guided fishing trips in Canada.
He is survived by his brother Jack Barron (Cecilia) of Johnston, Iowa and his sister Jill Koerperick (David) of Scottsdale, Arizona; 5 nieces and nephews, and loving cousins. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were his two favorite Aunts, Mildred Hewelt and Donna Gotlund, as well as Uncles Ralph Gotlund and Fred Hewelt.
There will be no visitation or services and internment will be private. However, please sign the online register if you wish to be contacted about a future memorial event.
