Stephen (Stosh) Kries, age 63, of Schiller Park passed away Sunday November 22,2020 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born June 8, 1957 to Paul and Barbara Kries. He spent most of his school years growing up in Itasca. He graduated from Driscoll Catholic High School. He had the typical teenage job and worked at McDonald’s in Addison. This job resulted in many lasting relationships. He worked as a machinist his whole adult life.
Stephen (Stosh) enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing pool. He was an avid collector of many different music genres. He was often referred to as a very loyal friend and he would give you the shirt off his back. He will be dearly missed by his family and those who were lucky enough to have known him.
Stephen (Stosh) is survived by his son Frank Kries of Rochester, New York; his father Paul Kries of Woodstock, Illinois; siblings Jackie (Mike) Triska of Cook Minnesota; Corinne (Ken) Dillon of McHenry Illinois, Cathy (Andy) Wind of College Grove, Tennessee; Char Cross of Belvidere Illinois; Patti (Jim) Ward of Bolingbrook Illinois and Andy (Tracy) Kries of Elgin Illinois. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Barbara Kries.
Due to Covid 19, there will be a private family graveside burial. In June, there will be a celebration of life held with more information shared at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Kidney Cancer research.
