Miguel nació y creció en Morelia, Michoacán. El fue hijo de los difuntos padres Efren y Eva Villalon. Nació en una familia muy unida, ya que era uno de doce hijos. En su niñez, Miguel ayudaba a su familia a repartir leche. Antes de mudarse a los Estados Unidos, Miguel trabajó como camionero y tuvo la oportunidad de viajar por México. A finales de los ’70, se mudó a Chicago para ayudar a su familia. Después de mudarse a Chicago conoció y tuvo tres hijos con Rafaela Martínez. Vivió el resto de su vida con su familia en el área de Chicago.
Miguel fue un hombre sencillo. Disfrutaba de las pequeñas cosas de la vida. Lo que más disfrutó fue pasar tiempo con los amigos y familiares que estaban cercanos y queridos a su corazón, especialmente sus hijos y nietos. Miguel era un hombre de buen corazón y ayudaba sin dudarlo. Como decía su mamá, “Miguel tiene un corazón que no le cabe en el pecho”. Será extrañado por su familia y todos los que tuvieron la dicha de conocerlo.
Miguel Villalon, 64, of Cicero, IL passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020. Miguel was born and raised in Morelia, Michoacan. He is the son of the late Efren and the late Eva Villalon. He was born into a tight knit family as he was one of twelve children. In his childhood Miguel would help his family deliver milk. Before his move to the United States, Miguel worked as a truck driver and had the opportunity to travel Mexico. In the late 1970’s he moved to the Chicagoland area to help his family. After his move to Chicago he met and had three children with Rafaela Martinez. He lived out the rest of his life with his family in the Chicagoland area.
Miguel was a simple man. He enjoyed the little things in life. The thing he enjoyed most was spending time with the friends and family he held near and dear to his heart, especially his children and grand-children. Miguel was a kind hearted man and would help out anyone that needed help without questions. As his mom said “Miguel has a heart that wouldn’t fit in his chest.” He will be missed by his family and all who had the good fortune of meeting him.
He is survived by his significant other: Rafaela Martinez; his daughter: Ma. Esperanza Villalon; his 2 sons: Mike Villalon and Steven (Kayla) Villalon; his 4 granddaughters: Mikayla Villalon, Beatrice Garcia, Mercedes Martell, and Alexandria Martell; his 4 grandsons: Mikael Villalon, Anthony Martell, Frank Martell, and Alex Martell; his 3 brothers: Efren Villalon, Rodolfo Villalon, and Romualdo Villalon; and his 5 sisters: Josefina Villalon, Maria Salud Villalon Maria Eva Villalon, Maria Elena Villalon, and Guadalupe Villalon; as well as various other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his 2 brothers: Gabriel Villalon and Rafael Villalon, as well as his sister: Maria Carmen Villalon.
A visitation will be held at Geils Funeral Home, 180 S York Rd, Bensenville, IL 60106 Sunday, September 20, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held the follow day on Monday, September 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St Cecilia Catholic Church, 700 S Meier Rd, Mt Prospect, IL. Arrangements by Geils Funeral Home.
