Ann Biars, affectionately known as Lil’ Ann Biars, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. She was born on July 24, 1956 the daughter of Henry and Helen (Kluch) Pollak. Ann was a loving mother and grandmother and nothing meant more to her than her family. Her family included the 5 cats and 2 dogs she and the rest of her family cherished. She was working in a machine shop known as Duo Fast which is a company whom made small metal parts such as nails and staples. A handsome gentleman, named James also worked there and the two were blessed to find one another for they fell very much in love. It was on April 19, 1980 that James made her the beautiful, blushing bride she was meant to be and ultimately made her the lucky Mrs. Ann Biars. After two years of marriage, she gave birth to the oldest of three children, Kim. The family settled down and lived in Bensenville through the remainder of their lives and even children of theirs still live in Bensenville. Her favorite way to spend her spare time was being at home with family watching her Lifetime and Hallmark movies. In her older years she found a renewed vigor for music and she would have the music she preferred (oldies and classic rock) playing very often. She would go through phases with different songs and periodically she would change what her favorite song(s) were. She would play her favorite song on repeat for hours on end. So much so her children would often get tired of songs they once loved and needed a break from hearing it repeatedly. Ann was a true hippy and lived with the values of peace, love, and happiness to the best of her abilities. She surrounded herself with peace and filled her love with heart, but she also offered peace and love to her family that meant so much to her. And as for their happiness, she would make sure to make sure they are happy before she would herself. She was the loving matriarch of three generations and though her children, grandchildren, and pets will forever miss her, her legacy and her values of family and love will live on in her kin as well as various other lives she touched over the years.
She is survived by her two adoring daughters, Kim (Mathew Halfpap) Biars and Colee (Jose Flores) Biars; her loving son, Bailey Biars; her cherished granddaughter, Scarlet Flores; her adored grandson, Logan Flores; her dear brother, Len Pollak; her two sweetheart dogs, Max and Mabel; and her five lovable cats: Nabisco, Dunkin, Mr Griswald, Wrangler Ralph, and Kringle; as well as various other friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her late parents; her dear husband; her brother, Donald; as well as her sister, Cathy.
A visitation and celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, April 25, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Geils Funeral Home, 180 S York Rd, Bensenville, IL 60106. Arrangements handled by Geils Funeral Home. For information, please call: (630)766-3232.
