Constance D Southwick, 81, of Sycamore, IL and formerly of Bensenville, IL passed away on Saturday February 13, 2021. She was born on January 2, 1940 the daughter of Steve and Marie (Kloster) Babich. In high school she met the love of her life, Perry Southwick and they wed on April 2, 1960. When Perry was drafted and sent to Germany, Constance stayed by his side and went abroad with him. It was in Germany they started their family and had their first daughter, Tiffany. They came home and settled down in Chicago and had their second daughter, Justine and eventually they moved and it was in Bensenville their daughters grew up. Perry passed away on December 14, 1984. She carried on as the matriarch of the family being there for he daughters and her grandchildren
She is survived by her two daughters: Tiffany Moore and Justine (Thomas) Falkenthal; her four grandchildren: Steve, Christopher, and Michael Billirakis as well as Amanda Falkenthal; her three great grandchildren: Titus, Teagan, and Tyler Billirakis; her brother, Richard (Kay) Babich; her brother-in-law, Duane Southwick; and four nieces: Christine, Michelle, Jennifer and Cortney; as well as other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Perry and both her parents, Steve and Marie.
A memorial service will take place on Thursday, February 18, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Geils Funeral Home, 180 S York Rd, Bensenville, IL 60106. Burial will take place privately the following morning as she is laid to rest next to her late husband at Mt Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to family.
